Does every modification need a mod plate?

No. Compliant minor or basic modifications may not need Approved Person certification. More significant modifications may require certification under an applicable code or specific TMR approval. Tell us the exact changes so we can help identify the pathway.

Can you certify my particular modification?

We first check the vehicle, modification codes and our current Approved Person authorisation. If the work needs a different approval or additional assessment, we will explain the next step.

Can I enquire before starting the work?

Yes. An early discussion helps identify the evidence and inspection requirements before components are installed or work becomes difficult to inspect.

What information should I send?

Start with the make, model, year, postcode and a list of modifications. Describe any photographs, drawings, component specifications or earlier engineering reports you already have. You can include a file link if available.
