Start with the outcome
You do not need to know the name of every approval before contacting us. Identify the vehicle or component, explain what you want to do and tell us what records you already have. The first task is to define the project.
Common questions
Do you organise, prepare and submit the whole certification project?
We organise the certification project, create the engineering and approval documents, arrange the required testing and inspections, submit the application and manage the Department’s questions through assessment. The agreed proposal defines the deliverables, external inputs and project boundaries.
What details are required for a vehicle enquiry?
Please provide your email and phone, plus the vehicle make, model and year or year range. Include the variant if known and describe your intended outcome.
What if my enquiry is about a component?
Identify the component, manufacturer and model or part number if available. Describe the intended vehicle application or engineering use.
What if I do not know the technical details?
You can say you do not know. Send the basic identity and your goal; missing technical information can be identified during the initial discussion.
Where do you offer Queensland modification plate services?
Within 100 km of Brisbane. You can also discuss bringing your vehicle to Brisbane. Confirm arrangements before travelling.
Do you support federal projects outside Queensland?
Yes. Federal approval and documentation support is available Australia-wide. Physical inspections, testing and other external inputs depend on the agreed scope.
Is a Queensland mod plate the same as a Vehicle Type Approval?
No. They address different approval questions. The correct starting point depends on the vehicle, proposed changes and intended supply or registration outcome.
Does a SEVS listing approve my individual vehicle?
No. Eligibility does not by itself complete import, compliance or registration requirements for an individual vehicle.
Can an overseas certificate or test report be used?
It may be a useful input. The standard, edition, product or vehicle coverage and relationship to Australian requirements need review.
Can I send photos and existing documents?
Yes. The enquiry form accepts optional PDF, JPG and PNG files. Please share only records you are entitled to provide.
How is the scope kept clear?
The engagement identifies the vehicle or component coverage, required inputs, deliverables and open questions. Additional variants, changes or test work need to be considered against that agreed scope.
Can you guarantee approval or registration?
The relevant authority makes approval and registration decisions. Our engineering work is scoped around the requirements and evidence for the proposed project.
Can you help with CAD or scanning without an approval project?
Yes. Identify the part or assembly, the intended output and how you will use it. CAD, 3D scanning and FEA can be separate engineering engagements.
